Abstract

The 19th-century german philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900)is known as a critic of Christian morality, but his concept of conscience is obviously influenced by the morality. My inquiry is to make clear the influences from the religious viewpoint(in terms of Christian thoughts e.g. Thomas Aquinas), philosophical viewpoint (in terms of Kantian and Schopenhauerian thoughts), and secular viewpoint (i. e. psychology, aesthetics, politics).
